Jill Schoenwalder is passionate about helping clients better understand the “why” behind taxes and believes tax preparation should go beyond simply filing returns. She enjoys building strong relationships with clients, learning about their unique situations, and serving as a trusted resource for tax planning and financial guidance.
Jill began her career in accounting in 2004, gaining experience in both the insurance and manufacturing industries. Throughout her early career, she held a variety of roles where she developed strengths in process improvement, training, and client service. In 2014, she earned her Enrolled Agent (EA) designation, further expanding her expertise in taxation and representation before the IRS.
She joined TMS Financial in 2013 as a member of the back-office support team and quickly grew into a client-facing tax preparation role. Today, in addition to providing tax preparation and planning services, Jill oversees the tax team, leads training initiatives for tax preparers and support staff, and assists with overall firm operations as Director of Tax Services and Partner.
Outside of work, Jill enjoys spending time with her husband, Andy, their two children, and family dog. Together, they enjoy staying active outdoors through camping, hiking, boating, and traveling.
