Colleen M. Srnka brings extensive accounting, tax, and consulting experience to her role at TMS Financial. She is passionate about helping clients better understand their tax situations while ensuring they receive the benefits and opportunities available to them through thoughtful tax preparation and planning.
Colleen joined TMS Financial as a seasonal Tax Professional in 2022. Her experience in individual tax preparation includes working with small businesses, rental properties, investment income, and specialized tax rules for clergy members. She also assists clients with tax planning and analysis, helping them make informed financial decisions throughout the year.
Colleen holds the CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation and completes the IRS Annual Filing Season Program certification each year. She earned her MBA from the University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh and her Bachelor of Science in Accountancy with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse.
Prior to joining TMS, Colleen held a variety of accounting and consulting roles across the manufacturing, professional services, and distribution industries. Much of her career focused on bridging accounting and operational functions through the implementation and support of various ERP system platforms.
Outside of work, Colleen enjoys bicycling, reading, and paper and fabric crafting. She also gives back to the community by volunteering her knitting talents with a Prayer Shawl Ministry and participating in the Sewing with Love team for Unity Hospice. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the IMA (Institute of Management Accountants) Winnebagoland chapter.
